How SetSale and HouseCall Pro Work Together

This guide explains how to connect SetSale with Housecall Pro. This integration streamlines your workflow by syncing your customer database to SetSale and automatically pushing sold quotes back to Housecall Pro as unscheduled jobs.

Why Integrate?

  • Unified Customer Data: Access your Housecall Pro customer database directly within SetSale to ensure you are quoting the correct client.

  • Automated Handoff: Eliminate double-entry. Once a quote is marked as "Sold" in SetSale, the job details flow seamlessly back into Housecall Pro.

Step 1: Connect Your Accounts

To get started, you need to authorize the communication between the two platforms using your API key.

  1. Locate your API Key: You will need your specific API key from your Housecall Pro account.

  2. Enter Key in SetSale:

    • Log in to SetSale.

    • Navigate to Settings > Integrations.

    • Select Housecall Pro and click Manage Integrations.

    • Paste your API Key into the designated field.

Once entered, the two systems will begin communicating immediately.

Step 2: Sending Quotes to Housecall Pro

The integration is designed to trigger automatically based on the status of your quote.

  1. Create Your Quote: Build your proposal in SetSale as usual. You can now select customers directly from your synced Housecall Pro database.

  2. Mark as Sold: When the customer agrees to the proposal, change the quote status to Sold in SetSale.

⚠️ Important Note: Quotes will only transfer to Housecall Pro once they are marked as Sold. If a quote is still "Open" or in SetSale, it will not appear in Housecall Pro.

Step 3: Managing the Job in Housecall Pro

After marking a quote as sold, navigate to your Housecall Pro dashboard.

  • Locate the Job: The quote will appear as an Unscheduled Job.

  • Review Details: The job description will automatically populate with:

    • Total price of the quote.

    • Full list of equipment.

    • All selected add-ons and features.

  • Next Actions: From here, you can schedule the installation, accept payment, or manage the job using your standard Housecall Pro workflow.
