The Equipment page is a central hub for distributors to view and manage their inventory and pricing data after it has been imported into SetSale. This section provides a clear, visual breakdown of your data and gives you the ability to influence which equipment your contractors quote.
1. Viewing Inventory and Pricing Data
Once your inventory and pricing data has been imported (typically via API), you can see a consolidated view on the Equipment page.
Inventory Levels: For each piece of equipment, you can see a summary of how many units you have in stock across all your locations.
Badges: Color-coded badges give you a quick visual reference of stock levels:
Red: Low or insufficient stock.
Yellow: Stock is somewhat low.
Blue: Sufficient stock.
Pricing: The portal displays the prices for a specific piece of equipment across all your connected contractors.
Detailed Breakdown: For a more granular view, you can:
Hover over the badge to see an instant breakdown of inventory quantities per location.
Click on an equipment item to open a detailed view showing both inventory levels by location and a list of prices assigned to each contractor.
2. Boosting Equipment
The "Boost" feature allows you to actively promote specific equipment to your contractors. This is a powerful tool for moving slow-selling inventory or for pushing a new product.
How to Boost an Equipment Item:
Navigate to the Equipment page.
Locate the equipment you want to promote.
Click the ellipses (...) icon next to the item.
Select Boost.
💡 How Boosting Works: When one of your contractors is creating a quote, SetSale's AI will prioritize and suggest matchups that include the "boosted" equipment, if it makes sense for the job. This increases the likelihood of that specific equipment being sold.
To remove a Boost, simply click the ellipses (...) icon again and select Un-boost.
