How to Archive or Delete an Old Proposal

Over time, your Proposals dashboard can get cluttered with old or unused quotes. Here's how to keep things organized.

Cancelling a Quote

If a quote is no longer active, you can mark it as Cancelled to remove it from your reporting metrics and clean up your dashboard.

  • Open the quote you want to cancel.

  • Change the quote status to Cancelled.

  • The quote will no longer appear in your active pipeline or count toward your sales reporting numbers.

Quote Expiration

You can also let SetSale handle old quotes automatically.

  • Go to Settings > Quoting > General.

  • Enable Quote Expiration and set the number of days.

  • Quotes with no activity after the specified period will automatically be marked as Lost.

This prevents old, forgotten quotes from being accepted weeks or months later.

Tips

  • Cancelling a quote doesn't delete it permanently — you can still search for and view cancelled quotes if you need to reference them later.

  • Use the Quote Activity feed to check whether a customer ever opened a quote before you cancel it.
