Finturf Integration: FAQs

Questions about the Finturf integration in SetSale? Here are the ones we hear most. For the big picture, see What Is the Finturf Integration?

General Questions

What is Finturf?

Finturf is a financing platform that connects merchants with multiple participating lenders. In SetSale, a Finturf stack can be offered alongside your standard installment plans. The homeowner completes one secure Finturf application and reviews the offers available to them.

What is a Finturf stack?

An offer stack is a group of loan products and Finturf rules. Stack names may describe an interest rate, a term, a promotion, or an intended use. Offer stacks are assigned per merchant by the Finturf team. Contact your Finturf representative to configure or modify stacks.

How is Finturf different from Palmetto?

Finturf is a loan product — the homeowner borrows and repays with interest, and the offers come from participating lenders. The Palmetto Comfort Plan is a lease, where Palmetto owns the equipment during the term. You can run both integrations, and you can keep your standard installment plans alongside either one. See What Is the Palmetto Integration? for more information.

Setup and Access

Who can connect or configure Finturf?

A SetSale company user with the owner role can connect the integration, enable or disable stacks, change company financing rules, or disconnect Finturf. Everyone else on the team can use the configured financing options on quotes, but can't change company-level settings.

Where do I connect Finturf?

Go to Settings → Quoting → Financing. Under Financing Providers, open Finturf Financing.

Where do I get the Finturf API key?

Create your API key from within your Finturf account. If you don't see an option to create or manage API keys, contact your Finturf representative.

Can I connect Finturf to my sandbox team?

SetSale sandbox accounts do not support the Finturf integration.

How does SetSale protect the API key?

Your API keys are protected with industry-standard AES-256 encryption while stored in our systems. Your keys are encrypted at rest and while in transit.

Why do I choose stacks right after connecting?

Some merchants have stacks that don't apply to HVAC, or to every line of business. Your stack selections control which Finturf options SetSale can use in automated financing, in manual rules, and in per-quote selections.

Does SetSale refresh the list of stacks?

Yes. SetSale requests the available stacks from Finturf every time you open the Finturf stack settings page. New, renamed, or removed stacks in Finturf show up after you refresh the page.

Can one SetSale company connect multiple Finturf merchant accounts?

Not currently. The integration supports one Finturf merchant account per SetSale company. A business with separate merchant accounts or EINs should use separate SetSale companies for those locations.

Can I disconnect Finturf?

Yes, if you're a company owner. First remove every Finturf stack from your active manual financing rules. Then open the Finturf provider page and choose Disable Integration. New quotes stop offering Finturf, and you can reconnect later.

Financing and Quotes

Can I use Finturf with my existing financing plans?

Yes. Standard installment plans and Finturf stacks coexist. Automated financing considers both, and manual financing rules can mix both types of plans. You can also override the selected installment plan on an individual quote tier.

How does automated financing choose a Finturf stack?

SetSale evaluates your eligible standard plans and enabled Finturf stacks for each replacement tier, and selects to show monthly payments that make higher-value tiers more compelling. If your company needs exact placement, turn off automated financing and build prioritized manual rules.

When are the monthly payments calculated?

SetSale requests estimated Finturf pricing when an eligible quote is created, and again when quote pricing or financing selections change. The homeowner presentation, quote preview, proposal PDF, and checkout all use the selected stack's estimate.

Are the payments shown in SetSale final loan offers?

No. They're estimates based on the quote amount and the selected Finturf stack. The homeowner's credit application determines the final offers, terms, and availability from participating lenders.

Why does SetSale account for a merchant or dealer fee?

Different lenders in a stack can charge different merchant fees. SetSale prices the quote using the highest available fee in the selected stack, so the job isn't underpriced if the homeowner picks the most expensive eligible lender offer.

The Homeowner Application and Funding

What happens after the homeowner selects Finturf at checkout?

SetSale sends the loan details to Finturf, marks the quote won, and emails the homeowner their Finturf secure credit application link. The homeowner completes the credit application in Finturf and chooses their preferred loan. Finturf automatically syncs your homeowner's financing progress with SetSale, which appears as events in your quote's Activity and Tasks areas.

Does SetSale store the homeowner's credit application?

No. All sensitive credit and underwriting information is shared between the homeowner and Finturf only. SetSale never sees this data.

Does the homeowner receive more than one email?

Yes. The homeowner receives the normal SetSale checkout confirmation email plus a dedicated email prompting them to complete their Finturf credit application. Finturf may send more messages later when the lender workflow needs additional customer action.

Can Finturf request more information after the application starts?

Yes. When this occurs, Finturf sends your quote an Action Required event which is displayed in your quote Activity with a link to the Finturf request. Click the link to provide the information requested by Finturf.

What does Notice to Proceed mean?

This is great news - the homeowners financing has been approved and it's time to call the homeowner to schedule installation.

When Finturf notifies SetSale the homeowners loan has been approved, SetSale adds a Financing approved. Proceed with installation activity event to your quote.

What happens when the job is complete?

Check your quote Activity for the Request funds task or event. Use this Request funds link to complete Finturf's funds request flow. Afterward, a completion certificate will be sent to the homeowner so ask them to finish it promptly.

What happens if a won quote amount changes?

Reopen the quote, update it, and complete checkout again. SetSale checks the current Finturf application and uses recalculation, a change order, or a replacement application, depending on what that stage supports. Switching to a different Finturf stack always requires a replacement application which requires the homeowner to restart the financing process.
