If you no longer want to offer a cash payment discount, you can turn it off in a few clicks. This article shows you how to set the discount to 0% and update any quote you're currently working on so the pricing is accurate.
Step 1: Set the Cash Discount to 0%
- Go to Settings in your SetSale dashboard.
- Select Pricing and Discounts.
- Find the Cash Discount field.
- Change the percentage to 0.00%.
- Save your changes.
From now on, new quotes won't include a cash discount, even when the customer picks the cash payment option.
Step 2: Recalculate Your Open Quote
Quotes you've already built keep the pricing they were created with. If you're in the middle of a quote, recalculate it so the discount is removed.
- Open the quote you're working on.
- Click Recalculate.
- Confirm the cash price no longer shows a discount.
Good to Know
- Only affects the cash option. Financing plans were never discounted, so their pricing won't change.
- Other discounts stay in place. Veteran, first responder, and promotional discounts aren't affected by this setting.
- Sent quotes don't update on their own. If you've already sent a quote with the cash discount, recalculate and re-send it if you want the customer to see the updated price.
