When you stop carrying a particular model, you might be tempted to delete it from your equipment list. Instead, use the Archive feature to hide it from active use while keeping the historical data intact.
Why Archive Instead of Delete?
Protect existing quotes. If you delete a piece of equipment, any old quotes that referenced it could lose their data. Archiving avoids that.
Clean up your list. Archived equipment won't appear when techs are building new quotes, so they won't accidentally quote a model you no longer stock.
Easy to restore. If you start carrying the model again, you can unarchive it with one click.
How to Archive Equipment
Go to Settings > Equipment.
Find the equipment item you want to remove from active use.
Click on the item and select Archive.
The item moves to the Archived view and is hidden from active equipment lists.
Viewing and Restoring Archived Equipment
In Settings > Equipment, toggle the view filter to Archived to see all previously archived items.
To bring an item back, click on it and select Restore.
