How to Build a Quote for Multi-Zone Ductless Systems

Multi-zone ductless (mini-split) systems require a different approach than a standard split system quote. SetSale supports flexible assembly and AHRI matching for mini-splits so you can build accurate, professional proposals.

Step-by-Step Instructions

1. Start a New Quote

  • From the Dashboard, click + New Quote.

  • Enter the customer's information.

2. Select the Ductless System Type

  • When choosing the system type, select Ductless (or the appropriate ductless variant like Multi-Zone Ductless).

  • This tells SetSale to filter your equipment catalog for ductless-compatible outdoor and indoor units.

3. Configure Zones

  • For a multi-zone system, you'll add one outdoor unit and multiple indoor units (one per zone).

  • Use the + Add Equipment button to add each indoor unit to the tier.

  • Change the Equipment Type for each to match the zone configuration (wall mount, ceiling cassette, floor mount, etc.).

4. Verify AHRI Matchups

  • SetSale will display AHRI matchups for your selected outdoor/indoor combinations.

  • Click the green AHRI number to verify the certificate on the AHRI directory.

  • If no matchup appears, double-check that your price book includes the correct model lines for the outdoor and indoor units.

5. Complete the Quote

  • Add any Upgrades (line-set covers, condensate pumps, etc.) or Services (installation labor, permits).

  • Preview the quote and send it to the homeowner.

Tips

  • Multi-zone ductless quotes often have different equipment per zone. Take the time to set each zone correctly — customers appreciate seeing exactly what goes where.

  • If you frequently quote ductless systems, set up a dedicated System Template to speed up the process.
